Cables Unlimited offers Corning fiber assemblies using Multi-fiber Termination Push-on (referred to as MTP) connectors designed by USConec. This compact design allows high-density connections between network equipment. A simple push-pull latching mechanism provides easy insertion and removal. Where space is an issue, the MTP allows for more connectors on the overcrowded faceplate, thus reducing the footprint of the systems. It will interface with current MPO connectors. It is the same size as an SC connector, but since it can hold up to 12 fibers, it provides up to 12 times the density.
