
New Orleans — Relay testing, circuit breaker testing, test equipment: Megger, a provider of electric test equipment and measuring instruments for electrical power applications, announced it had won six (6) major awards at PowerTest2013 hosted by the International Electrical Testing Association’s (NETA).

The awards are a phenomenal testament to the expertise embodied in the Megger Product and Technical Support Team.” Megger award winners by category and paper are:
• Best Relay Presentation: “Utilizing Ground Fault Resistance to Accurately Test Distance Element,” by Jason Buneo, Applications Engineer, Megger
• Best Reliability Presentation: “Detecting Common Power Quality Issues,” by Andrew Sagl, Product Manager, Megger
• Best Circuit Breaker Presentation: “Testing and Troubleshooting of Low to Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers, by Bret Hammond, and Robert Foster, Technical Support Engineer, Megger
• Best Safety Paper: “Electrical Safety through Design Installation and Maintenance,” by Dennis Neitzel, Director of AVO Training Institute, Inc. (a. Megger Subsidiary)
Davis said, “Megger places a high value on the writing of technical papers. As important, Megger strongly believes in NETA’s commitment to excellence in the calling for papers, judging and distribution of winning submissions, as the process provides an outstanding communications service to the industry.”
Megger also brought home two marketing awards, a Best in Show award for Trade Show Marketing, and the Most Entertaining Hospitality Night Award.
