Milwaukee, WI—Work safety equipment: Milwaukee Tool introduces the first and only UL® Classified 1000V Insulated Screwdrivers tested to IEC 60900:2012, ASTM F1505-10 and NFPA 70E standards. Milwaukee® 1000V Insulated Screwdrivers meet the OSHA insulated tool requirement and provide an uncompromising safety rating for the jobsite.
“Milwaukee’s UL® Classified 1000V Insulated Screwdrivers provide a best in class safety rating to our users who demand a solution for working on energized and high voltage equipment,” says Ryan Schwoegler, Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool Corp. “Our partnership with UL® gives users peace of mind on the job and promotes a safety first mindset and workplace.”
With a flame resistant insulation bonded to the tool shank as well as an outer layer of insulation, the new tools offer a dual layer for maximum safety and keep the driver protected from damage. To further provide safety, a visual wear indicator issues a warning to the user when it is time to replace the tool. For added user convenience, insulated ID markings allow for quick tool identification on the jobsite and a lanyard hole prevents tool drops in live panels and protects both the insulation and driver from damage.
Part of a larger Hand Tool launch in May 2013, the new insulated screwdrivers will accompany several new fastening solutions from Milwaukee that deliver game changing durability, ergonomics and versatility. With a focus on user driven innovation to provide real solutions to jobsite challenges, Milwaukee will also introduce a 4PC SAE Nut Driver Set, (4) 10IN1 Multi Bit Sets, (3) Hex/Torx® Key Drivers and (3) Screwdriver Sets.

Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the new products confirm Milwaukee’s commitment to best-in-class durability and their relentless commitment to provide innovative solutions to the end user that will increase productivity.
