Safety equipment: The new HWSSHK 304 and 316L stainless steel wallmount enclosures from Hammond Manufacturing are available in a market-leading 30 sizes, ranging from 24” x 20” x 6” to 60” x 36” x 16”. They offer excellence corrosion resistance that does not degrade after scratching or other surface damage with high resistance to chemical attack.

Sealed to NEMA 4X (IP66), the units are UV resistant and are stronger and more vandal-proof than GRP alternatives. They are designed for installation in harsh industrial environments such as utilities, the water industry, oil and gas plants, mining conveyor belt controls and process control applications. One of the key benefits of the range is the three-point heavy-duty padlockable handle mechanism, which gives excellent sealing with minimum effort in opening and closing the door. The enclosures are suitable for housing both electrical equipment and electronic systems.

Compared to clamped covers, the innovative locking mechanism is more secure, easier to operate and gives a more even pull-down on to the poured gasket. A formed lip on the continuously welded body channels liquids and dirt away from the opening and a full-length stainless steel hinge ensures repeatable openings and closings without distortion of the door.

The removable Inner mounting panel can be either painted or galvanised to suit the application. The extensive range of accessories includes, gland plates, passive and active thermal management, drip shields, windows and grounding kits.
