Electrical testing: TESCO introduces the Multi-Purpose Test Station. With more electronic meters being deployed, periodic meter testing is becoming a standard procedure. While it would be great to have multiple test boards in the shop/meter lab, financing those boards is almost impossible. With the new TESCO Multi-Purpose Test Station, you can alleviate multiple test boards and still accomplish your required meter testing.

TESCO’s new Multi-Purpose Test Station not only does accuracy testing, but can also be used for acceptance testing, retirement testing, functionality testing, disconnect testing and at a cost that will fit the budget and not “break the bank”. TESCO can customize the Test Station to your specifications. Also, the Test Station functionality is available in a multi-position configuration, for testing multiple meters simultaneously. All Test Stations are equipped with:

• Reference standard for accuracy testing & software options for demand and time-of-use testing options
• Zero-insertion-force (ZIF) meter socket
• Ability to test both electronic and electro-mechanical closed-link meters
• Selectable meter forms, current and voltage
• Interchangeable power factor (between 50 & 100 percent)
• Three independent current transformers, which can be turned “on” and “off”
• TESCO Optical Pickup (Catalog No. 1037-STND) to detect electronic meter pulses
• Disk Sensor to detect disk rotation on electro-mechanical meters

To complete the package, the Test Station operates with the TESCO Field Fast Software Module. This software allows the user to simply “point and click”, which makes testing much quicker. The software will save test settings and results (which are displayed on the screen after each test). All results can be exported to a .CSV file as well.
