Steve Edwards is new chairman, president, CEO of Black & Veatch

Steve Edwards has taken the role of chairman, president and CEO of Black & Veatch after the retirement of Len Rodman, who spent 42 years with the company and 15 years as CEO. Edwards was named to the company’s top role following a transition period concluding November 27.

Edwards had been named chief operating officer of Black & Veatch in April and led the company’s strategic planning initiative and 2014 budgeting process during the transition process, according to a statement from Rodman.

Before being named COO, Edwards was an executive vice president serving as executive director global EPC for Black & Veatch’s energy business. He has been a member of the company’s executive committee since 2005 and a member of the board of directors since 2012. His career with the company spans 35 years.
