Japan's Toshiba will invest $337.7 million in Britain’s nuclear power industry.

According to MSN UK, the agreement with Toshiba, Westinghouse and the government is for plans to build a new nuclear power plant at Moorside.

Toshiba in January said it would buy a 60 percent share in the NuGeneration Limited Moorside nuclear project, which calls for three, 1,100-MW Westinghouse AP1000 reactors. The project will be built in partnership with GDF Suez. The first reactor is expected online in 2024.
