Southwest Water Company Selects Suite of Oracle Software To Improve Efficiencies, Deliver Superior Customer Service

Oracle has announced that Southwest Water Company, a leading provider of water, wastewater and public works services, has selected a comprehensive suite of Oracle software to help streamline operations. Specifically, Southwest Water selected Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing, Work and Asset Management, Mobile Workforce Management and Business Intelligence, as well as Oracle Financials, part of the Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle Database to modernize and simplify its legacy systems and processes.

"Southwest's long history of geographic expansion and growth through acquisitions has resulted in an IT infrastructure composed of multiple outdated and disparate financial, billing and work-order systems, which made maintaining efficient operations and superior customer service extremely difficult and costly," said Mark Swatek, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Southwest Water Company.

"Accordingly, we are embarking on a challenging and exciting period of reinvention and unification into a stronger, more robust company. Our shareholders deserve better margins, our customers deserve top-notch service and our employees require tools to make their jobs more effective. We selected the Oracle suite because of our confidence that we can deliver on all three of these goals through the implementation of Oracle's solutions," Swatek said.

"We're very pleased Southwest Water has selected Oracle software to help achieve its goals of operational strength and exceptional customer service," said Quentin Grady, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Utilities Global Business Unit. "This effort underscores Oracle's strategy to deliver tangible business value to our utilities customers through a comprehensive suite of flexible and scalable solutions."

Southwest Water Company (NASDAQ: SWWC) provides a broad range of services including water production, treatment and distribution; wastewater collection and treatment; utility billing and collection; utility infrastructure construction management; and public works services.
