Doosan Infracore Portable Power Introduces VHP40RMD and VHP40RMG Truck-Mounted Air Compressors

? Doosan Infracore Portable Power announces the introduction of two new truck-mounted reciprocating air compressors. The VHP40RMD is a 100 percent continuous-duty, fully self-contained diesel-powered air compressor designed for mounting on utility and service trucks. The VHP40RMG is gasoline-powered; all other specifications are identical to those for the VHP40RMD. Both models are powered by efficient and dependable Kubota engines, which drive the robust and durable Ingersoll Rand TS-10 air pump. Each unit provides free-air delivery of 40 cubic feet per minute at a rated operating pressure of 175 psi.

No trailer hitch or special vehicle is needed to provide jobsite air with these new utility mount compressors. Both units will fit on standard-sized utility trucks, and are equipped with an air receiver and fuel tank module as standard equipment. The air / fuel tank module has two eight-inch tanks that are permanently piped together, providing a total air storage capacity of 20.5 gallons. The 9.2-gallon fuel tank sits between the two air receiver tanks, and provides up to 10 hours of continuous operation. Units may also be ordered without the air / fuel tank module for applications where an auxiliary fuel supply is already available.

The VHP40RMD and VHP40RMG are packed with features that make these units stand out in the market. Each compressor has an onboard battery for 12-volt startup, sophisticated engine and airend cooling built into the unit and a full sheet-metal enclosure to protect internal components from potential weather damage. A two-position throttle system maximizes fuel efficiency and reduces overall noise levels. Furthermore, all major internal components are attached to an isolated sub-base to minimize vibration transfer to the vehicle carrying the compressor.

In addition to all the features already mentioned, the Ingersoll Rand engine-drive, reciprocating compressor units are designed to make maintenance and service as simple as possible. Conveniently located panels provide access to all major components, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. All oil drains are easily accessible, resulting in no-mess oil changes. Also, each unit comes standard with a single-point lifting bail, allowing the unit to be quickly installed, removed or transferred between vehicles.
