Dan Thomsen, eastern regional manager for Doosan Infracore Portable Power, will be presenting an educational program on generators and power distribution at the American Rental Association of Florida RenTech. This year's program will be held on July 30, 2008, at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla.

RenTech is an ARA-sponsored educational program designed to provide training for rental professionals. This one-day program is open to all rental business professionals in Florida. Instruction is provided by various industry specialists and professionals.

"These RenTech programs, which are offered by ARA in conjunction with our state, local and provincial associations, are very popular with our members,"
said Alysia Ryan, director of state, local and provincial services at ARA. "They allow rental store owners, managers and employees to receive vital education and training from ARA associate members, such as Doosan Infracore Portable Power, close to home. It's a win-win for all involved."

Thomsen will co-instruct, alongside Kent McLemore of Trystar, the session on generators and power distribution. This session will provide information and training on the operation and maintenance of generators as well as example applications of power in various environments. Thomsen has worked in power generation for nearly 20 years. In addition to sales, he provides individualized training regarding power generation and matching generator products with applications to achieve better rental fleet utilization.

Two other concurrent sessions will feature different aspects of the rental business and give owners and employees the opportunity to choose a track that meets their training needs. One session will be aimed at owners and managers, focusing on insurance, OSHA regulations, disaster contingency and hazardous waste management. Another session will provide training and expertise on tent installation.
