Arcadian Networks Establishes New Wireless Business Unit to Provide Systems Integration to the Energy Sector for Next Generation Wireless Communications
Arcadian Networks, a wireless communications carrier serving energy companies with dispersed assets (electric, gas and water utilities, and oil and gas companies), today announced the formation of a new, Israel-based, business unit to augment its wireless solutions.
The new unit focuses on mission-critical wireless communication systems integration and development for the energy sector. Led by David Levine, president of the unit (and VP-Finance of Arcadian Networks Inc.) and Arnon Afgin, vice president - general manager, the unit is staffed by 16 industry professionals. "This is an exciting venture that will ensure high returns for our customers with respect to their networking efficiencies and IT investments," said David M. Levine. " Customers can now leverage the benefits produced by combining our systems integration services with Arcadian Networks proven wireless communication solutions; the end results are custom, secure IP networks."
Arcadian Networks solutions are based on its licensed 700 MHz spectrum and are complemented and enhanced by the new unit's 12 years of experience with wireless broadband design and development. "Arcadian Networks now has the ability to better customize its 700 MHz communication solutions for our customers' field infrastructures," Ed Solar, president and chief executive officer of Arcadian Networks, stated. "Our customers are now offered a 'one-stop-shop', facilitating the development of their next generation Smart Grid and Smart Field communication networks."
The seamless integration of the new unit is viewed positively not only by the parent company but also by Arcadian Networks' industry partners.
