New Channel Partnership Dedicated to Fiber Network Advancement in MEA

Oasis Distribution announces its partnership with Aspen Optics as the latter's main distributor in MEA. With the comprehensive fiber connectivity product range from Aspen Optics, Oasis Distribution is boosting one of the strongest end-to-end optical networking offers to customers.

Since the first FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) network project in the UAE went live in September 2002, serving subscribers within Emaar Properties developments such as Dubai Marina, Emirates Lakes, Hills, Springs and the Arabian Ranches, optical network infrastructure is growing phenomenally.

"We anticipate the MEA is a region with the fastest growth potential for optical networks. It is great to work with Aspen Optics having years of experience serving leading telcos in Asia, proving fiber connectivity products to support mission critical networks including GPON and FTTH", said Husein Katib, Business Development Manager of Oasis Distribution.

"With the phenomenal growth in network infrastructures taking place in the MEA region, we see an enormous opportunity to grow our business in the region. Oasis Distribution is an ideal partner for Aspen Optics with their strengths in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE", said Mr. David Whitney, Managing Director of Aspen Optics. Currently Hong Kong, where Aspen Optics is based, South Korea and Japan are ranking as the top three economies in the number of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) penetration.

"The business philosophy of Oasis Distribution is to serve its clients as a trusted ally, providing them with the loyalty of a business partner and the economics of an outside vendor. Our channel strategy is to differentiate from box-moving, price-oriented business by offering and delivering end-to-end solutions with good services and better support for the resellers. This is the way we work in the region", said Husein Katib, Business Development Manager of Oasis Distribution.

Oasis Distribution makes sure that its clients have what they need to run their business as well as possible, with maximum efficiency and reliability. In terms of trading requirements, Oasis Distribution does not supply end-users directly, all supply are being through resellers. These partners are typically business suppliers, value added resellers, retailers and system integrators.
