Baker Partners with Baytech to Provide CNG, Propane, and Bi-Fuel Conversion Capacity

Baker Equipment announces a partnership with Baytech Corporation of Los Altos, California to expand their existing alternative fuel vehicle conversion capabilities. Baker's partnership with Baytech will include the ability to convert EPA and CARB certified CNG fuel injection systems for Chevrolet, GMC, Isuzu and Workhorse Custom Chassis. This partnership comes in addition to Baker's partnership with BAF Technologies of Dallas, Texas, in which Baker upfits BAF's CalComp™ CNG engine systems for Ford vehicles.

Baker and Baytech's collaboration will expand alternative fuel vehicle conversion capacity to the east coast via Baker's four locations, including Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Richmond, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia. Baytech will train Baker technician's onsite to install all multi-point fuel injection systems in accordance with Baytech, CARB and EPA standards. All Baker locations will provide labor for warranty and service repairs, greatly increasing east coast availability for service work.

"Baytech's product offering covers a majority of GM's light and medium duty vehicles. These are proven products that have EPA and CARB 2009 certifications. Our 90 years of truck equipment industry experience, coupled with our successful AFV project experience, will provide our customers a unique opportunity to promote Green Fleet initiatives, while dealing with two industry leaders."
