Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest utilities, announced that it has selected Opower (OPWR), the global leader in cloud-based software for the utility industry, for a strategic multi-year partnership. SCE will leverage the Opower platform, Opower 6, to deliver energy management solutions to all customer classes.
Opower 6 includes a set of upgrades to Opower’s analytics platform. In addition to this upgrade, Opower recently announced the release of a new customer care solution that uses real-time communications and powerful analytics to improve customer satisfaction and lower cost to serve for utilities.
Opower’s customer engagement platform enables utilities to reach their customers at moments that matter through communications that drive energy savings, increase customer engagement and satisfaction and lower customer operation costs. Opower’s software has been deployed to more than 95 utility partners around the world and reaches more than 50 million households and businesses.
