Nexant's Terry Fry named to Commerce committee on renewables, energy efficiency
Fry joins a select group of private-sector representatives whose appointments to the newly re-chartered RE&EE committee were recently announced
Nexant announced that Terry Fry, senior vice president of Nexant's demand management business solutions, has been reappointed to the Department of Commerce Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE&EE) Advisory Committee.
The committee plays an important advisory role, making recommendations to the Obama administration on ways to improve the export competitiveness of the RE&EE sector as well as recommending policies for reducing oil imports, increasing renewable electricity generation, boosting fuel economy standards, and increasing energy efficiency and clean energy investments.
Fry joins a select group of private-sector representatives whose appointments to the newly re-chartered RE&EE committee were recently announced by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank. Committee members come from a diverse group of companies, industry associations and non-profit organizations representing critical energy sectors such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, hydropower, biofuels, fuel cells, smart grid and energy efficiency.
