Fluor will continue to provide ongoing maintenance, modification and outage services for the units

Fluor Corp. won a contract extension for operations and maintenance (O&M) work at the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Diablo Canyon nuclear power units 1 and 2 in California.

Fluor will continue to provide ongoing maintenance, modification and outage services for the units. The work encompasses mechanical, electrical and civil tasks during non-outage and outage periods. The initial contract was awarded in May 2010.

Diablo Canyon produces 18,000 gigawatt-hours annually. The plant uses two pressurized water reactors that have been operating since 1985.
