Proximetry wins E.U. grant to build smart grid system
The new grant, awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, will focus on a next-generation smart grid version of AirSync
San Diego, September 7, 2011 — Proximetry, a global leader in wireless network and performance management software, has been awarded a second grant to build upon its innovative AirSync network management system.
The new grant, awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, will focus on a next-generation smart grid version of AirSync.
The PAED grant brings Proximetry's total R&D investment in AirSync-based solutions from EU agencies like PAED, Eureka, FP7-Seventh Framework Programme, and the company's own matching funds to more than $5 million.
AirSync, with more than 200 deployed customers worldwide, has already been chosen by several electric utilities in the U.S., Mexico, and Asia as their preferred network management system.
AirSync is Proximetry's carrier-class software solution for wireless ecosystems, bringing greater predictability to mission-critical traffic while traversing today's "multi-multi" wireless networks. Proximetry is a member of Cisco Systems' connected energy eco-system.
