Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid announces new board members

It includes as members demand response and smart grid companies and organizations, as well as individuals, who consider themselves to be professionals in the field

Washington, D.C., December 1, 2011 — The Association for Demand Response & Smart Grid announced that several new individuals had been elected to the organization's board of directors.

ADS is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that focuses on development and exchange of information among policymakers, utilities, technology companies and other stakeholders.

It includes as members demand response and smart grid companies and organizations, as well as individuals, who consider themselves to be professionals in the field.

The new directors are: Sharon Bauer (Progress Energy), Susan Covino (PJM), Ron Dizy (ENBALA), Larry Oliva (Southern California Edison), Colin Smart (Consolidated Ed), Dan Violette (Navigant Energy Practice)

"On behalf of all the ADS membership, I can say that we are excited to be welcoming new board members," said Dan Delurey, Executive Director of ADS. "This past year has been an important one as we moved to create an individual member class, in addition to the existing group membership levels. ADS continues to grow and I look forward to the contributions of the new directors as we continue to meet the needs of the DR and smart grid community."

Existing Directors of ADS include Tim Roughan (National Grid), Teri Berliner (AEP), Henry Yoshimura (ISO-NE), Chris King (eMeter), Steve George (Freeman, Sullivan & Co.), Rick Voytas (Ameren), Butch Massey (TVA), Paul Miles (PECO), and Dan Delurey (ADS).
