BPA to manage energy efficiency with Nexant technology

It will replace BPA's existing planning, tracking and reporting system currently used by over 140 Pacific Northwest utilities and stakeholders

Portland, Ore., July 18, 2011 — Nexant, Inc., a provider of smart grid and clean energy technologies, has begun testing the new Energy Efficiency Central (EE Central) system that the company is developing for the Bonneville Power Administration.

It will replace BPA's existing planning, tracking and reporting system currently used by over 140 Pacific Northwest utilities and stakeholders to manage and report on their energy conservation and renewable resource activities.

EE Central's core functionalities include an extensive common energy efficiency measures library, advanced process flow management, document management and repository, flexible reporting, and user dashboards, as well as the ability for real-time integration with external tools such as savings calculators.
