DECK Monitoring, NREL to track photovoltaic performance

Data contributed to the PVDAQ project will be analyzed for many performance factors, the results of which are provided to the public through its online database

Eugene, Ore., May 5, 2011 — DECK Monitoring has partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory to support its PV Data Acquisition project, which aims to develop and communicate a broad picture of photovoltaic field performance across the U.S.

Data contributed to the PVDAQ project will be analyzed for many performance factors, the results of which are provided to the public through its online database.

The high quality PV performance data that DECK Monitoring already collects from sites across the country can now be transferred to NREL for this important work, at the customer's discretion. DECK Monitoring is the first to offer this service, and at no additional charge.

Operators of any photovoltaic project, including those funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, are encouraged to provide this data to NREL.
