This is one of several images capturing a micro-burst storm that hit the Waianae coast on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in December 2007. A total of 25+ jointly owned (HECO and Hawaiian Telcom) poles were either completely snapped off at ground level or broken above telcom along the Farrington Highway. This pole run is just opposite of the beach line and "was" entirely aerial. From the angle of this image, one should see a pole run as far as you could see south, but every pole had been destroyed.
