Keep doors closed

Canadian utilityToronto Hydro recommended that its commercial customers keep their doors closed. Oftentimes, retailers, restaurants and other businesses have been known to leave their doors open and allow cool air to blow out into the street during hot, muggy weather as a way to lure in overheated customers. Leaving doors opened can waste as much as 3,850 kWh and rack up $500 more in electricity costs, though, according to the utility.
