New Emerson Network Power CTO Expects New Focus on Business Continuity in 2009

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, recently appointed Victor Lee chief technology officer to guide technology innovation across all of the business's 12 centers of expertise.

Lee stresses that this focus will be vital amid a challenging economic climate where any downtime could have major ramifications. The conditions have created a renewed emphasis on business continuity and an increasing demand for energy efficient technologies and solutions. Additionally, any executives authorizing strategic technology investments must emphasize product dependability and flexibility to their vendor partners. Lee said Emerson Network Power products and solutions will meet these expectations while building on the strong commitment to innovation that defines the business.

Central Bucks School District (CBSD) has signed an energy-saving performance contract with Johnson Controls, Inc. Through the project, the District expects to save nearly $24 million in energy savings over 15 years as a result of improved operations and energy efficiency within 23 facilities throughout the district. This district-wide undertaking will enable the school system to continue to ensure comfortable, safe and sustainable learning environments for its students and educators.
