Congress Extends Refined Coal Tax Credit

The energy tax credits contained in the financial rescue package passed by Congress today include a one-year extension of the refined coal tax credit – an important incentive as well as endorsement of Evergreen Energy Inc.'s technology as a realistic, real-time component of U.S. energy policy.

That reaction was expressed today by Evergreen's Energy President and CEO Kevin R. Collins, who said the tax credit will provide added incentives for potential K-Fuel® coal refinery customers to consider Evergreen's patented pre-combustion technology that makes coal cleaner and more efficient.

Dexterra Inc., a leading provider of software to automate and manage mobile workforces, today announced the close of $21.5 million in funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with additional investment from the company's existing investors Canaan Partners, Intel Capital, Mesirow Financial, Motorola Ventures and Sigma Partners. This round of funding will support the advancement of Dexterra's mobile business platform and applications, strong partner and wireless carrier ecosystem and future opportunity in one of the fastest-expanding segments in the enterprise software market. Dexterra's support by the investment community comes as it has experienced double digit percent growth year-over-year, as evidenced by Deloitte's recent top-10 ranking of Dexterra in its Technology Fast 50 program.
