New website, blog, Smart Grid Executive Forum gain followers among utility industry executives
The McDonnell Group, Inc., an energy and utility focused marketing agency, has sharpened its focus on serving the needs of the changing technology markets with three new tools: an interactive website, a Smart Grid Blog, and the Smart Grid Executive Forum.
As energy issues move to center stage in the national debate, The McDonnell Group has seen a significant rise in its web traffic, particularly since the new site launched in early February.
"Our site visits rose 100% since last month," said Managing Director Don McDonnell. "The Smart Grid Executive Forum has also grown tremendously. There seems to be a real need to exchange ideas at a high level," McDonnell observed. "Industry executives appreciate the chance to debate news and solutions free from 'greenwashing' or salesmanship." More than 300 leading executives, researchers, journalists, innovators, and policy makers have joined the Smart Grid Executive Forum, hosted by The McDonnell Group as an exclusive group within LinkedIn.
The website has been completely redesigned around the company's specialized industry knowledge and expertise. It includes a searchable news archive, team biographies, description of services, and client case studies highlighting work for a diverse group of clients - from startups to international corporations - all linked by the common bond of applying innovative technologies to build a smarter energy future.
"Our clients range from billion dollar global suppliers to start-ups led by risk takers and entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to pressing industry problems," McDonnell said.
Verizon Wireless and Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG) today announced a joint marketing agreement intended to facilitate the deployment of a host of smart grid projects around the country. The projects will allow utilities to transmit data from both residential and commercial meters over the nation's most reliable network to the utility companies' in-house systems.
