Yokogawa Awarded Savannah River Project

Yokogawa Corporation of America announced today that it has been selected as the distributed control system for the new Pit Disassembly and Conversion Facility (PDCF) in Aiken, SC.

Managed by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), the PDCF facility will convert weapons grade plutonium and uranium into fuel rods to be used for electrical power generation. The production process is scheduled to be operational in 2019.

The Easidew Dew Point Transmitter from Michell Instruments has been enhanced to take accurate measurements in pressures of up to 6500 psi.
