ABB wins $28 million order to power seawater-desalination plant

World's largest reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant with capacity of 500,000 cubic meters per day to provide drinking water for 5 million people

The Magtaa desalination plant is being constructed in the western Oran region of Algeria. It will have a designed capacity of 500,000 cubic metres per day of drinking water to serve about 5 million people. The project is part of the Algerian government's effort to provide clean drinking water to its growing population.

Navistar, Inc., recently presented Grote Industries with its 2008 Diamond Supplier Award, the company's highest honor for suppliers. The award was presented in recognition of Grote's abilities to meet and exceed Navistar's expectations and requirements. This is the third consecutive year that Grote Industries has achieved this honor.
