OSI Participates in Consumers Energy's AMI Technology Assessment and Field Pilot Program

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) and Consumers Energy Co. (Consumers Energy), one of the nation's largest combination electric and natural gas utilities, have signed an agreement to collaborate on an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology assessment and field pilot program.

As part of the agreement, OSI will provide a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and distribution management system (DMS) for the Jackson, Mich. utility. The proposed system is based on its monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform and features an advanced graphical user interface with Microsoft® .NET technology.

A line of Type 27 flexible mesh abrasive wheels that come in several grades for grinding, sanding, and preparing the surfaces of composite wind turbine blades, fiberglass boat hulls, and related products for coating is avail-able from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.
