Terex offers customers more solutions for Z-booms, telehandlers, material lifts, light towers and construction products

More customers will have easier access to a broader range of Terex and Genie equipment through a new arrangement that will improve availability.

Southhaven, Miss., February 11, 2010—More customers will have easier access to a broader range of Terex and Genie equipment through a new arrangement that will improve availability of more than 60 products in rental and distributor channels. Authorized Terex distributors will now have the ability to sell some of the most popular models of Genie towable Z-booms, Genie telehandlers, Genie material lifts and Terex light towers in addition to offering the full line Terex compact construction products. In addition, select rental customers will now have the entire Terex compact construction equipment line available to them, as well as the Terex aerial work platform products they usually offer.

“The Terex and Geni brands and their breadth of products are well respected in the industry. By combining our resources and strengths, Terex will be able to meet customer needs by being one single supplier for our customers,” says Del Carver, Area Director, North America Compact, Terex Construction. “Having access to a broader range of products will better position our customers for a future upswing in the construction market.”

“As Terex continues to broaden its market presence in North America, it is important that we use the entire breadth of our product lines to meet the needs of our customer base,” says Jim Barr, Vice President Global Channel Development, Terex Aerial Work Platforms. “This new cross-selling initiative will allow both Terex business segments to concentrate on supplying their customers with the most complete product offering available from one source.”

Through this initiative, rental customers and distributors will meet with Terex representatives to review their equipment needs for the right inventory mix. Equipment handling and service training on the compact construction equipment and AWP products will also be provided to store personnel as needed.

With more than 60 products available through this initiative, Terex and its distribution channels will now be poised to help customers take on more projects in these uncertain times. “This initiative ensures that Terex and its distributors and rental channel partners are able to supply customers with the equipment they need to be successful, and customers will save time by getting all of their equipment needs met from a single source,” says Carver.
