Arcadian Networks Appoints Mark Maddox as Senior VP of Government Affairs and Establishes Presence on Capitol Hill

Arcadian Networks, a wireless communications carrier for energy companies with dispersed assets (electric, gas and water utilities, and oil and gas companies), announced today that it has enhanced its position as a leading advocate of Smart Grid legislation with the appointment of Mark Maddox as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.

Based out of the Company's new office in Washington, D.C., Mr. Maddox will lead all state and federal government regulation activities related to Smart Grid legislation and deployments. In addition, Mr. Maddox will serve as a key liaison with government groups and trade associations. He will act as an advocate for Arcadian Networks and for increased wireless broadband technology within the utility industry.

For an unprecedented sixth consecutive year, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes named Entergy Corporation (NYSE:ETR) to the exclusive Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability North American Index. Entergy was the only U.S. utility selected to the world index, and one of only 16 utilities chosen worldwide.
