NextEra Energy Resources began construction of two solar photovoltaic systems on separate sites in southern California. The solar PV systems will be ground mounted on 20-acre privately owned sites in Apple Valley, California, and Blythe, California.

The projects are part of the California Renewable Energy Small Tariff program, a feed-in tariff program for eligible renewable energy projects under 1.5 MW. Southern California Edison (SCE) will purchase all of the solar power output from the PV systems under the terms of two 20-year power purchase agreements for each site.
