NV Dry Lake seeks approval for 200 MW Nevada solar power project

NV Dry Lake LLC told the Nevada Public Utilities Commission in a Sept. 4 notice of a recent application to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for approval to construct a 200 MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility.

The solar energy project would involve about one mile of 230-kV aboveground transmission line connecting to the existing Harry Allen Substation of Nevada Power, according to GenerationHub.

The project is to be located within the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone about 15 miles northeast of Las Vegas in Clark County, Nevada.

The notice said the NV Dry Lake project would be constructed between September 2015 and December 2016, with commercial operation in December 2016.
