Altec Industries has announced the renewal of its alliance with OSHA to continue working together to protect workers from fall, electrocution, tip-over and other hazards.
Birmingham, Ala.—Altec Industries, Inc., announced the renewal of their Alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to continue working together to protect workers from fall, electrocution, tip-over and other hazards related to the operation and maintenance of cranes, chippers, digger derricks, tree care products including wood chippers, and insulated and non-insulated aerial devices.
“Altec is proud to have a close partnership with OSHA for the continued prevention of workplace injuries in the markets we serve,” said Lee Styslinger, III, Chairman and CEO of Altec, Inc. “Their guidance to provide the resources needed to reach out with information and training is invaluable.”
The Alliance provides workers, including limited or non-English speaking, with pertinent training resources to help protect their health and safety, and communicate employer rights and responsibilities.
Through the Altec Sentry program, Altec develops and offers products, including various training classes, on crane, digger derrick, and aerial safety. Altec also continues to provide OSHA field staff with Best Practice Seminars on cranes, digger derricks, insulated and non-insulated aerial devices, and wood chippers.
