Power line and substation business acquired

T&D Solutions acquires power line and substation business of Telectric.

Alexandria, La, June 23, 2010—T&D Solutions, a power line maintenance and construction company serving investor-owned utilities, municipalities and co-ops in the southern and central United States, announced that it has acquired Telectric Power, the power line and electrical substation maintenance and construction business of Telectric, based in Ball, La. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

With the acquisition of Telectric Power, T&D Solutions adds substation maintenance and construction to its broad range of services, making it a premier provider of end-to-end power line maintenance and construction services. The investment will be instrumental in helping T&D further capitalize on the growing demand for transmission, substation and distribution maintenance services in the U.S., fueled by an aging electric grid and government-enforced reliability standards. T&D Solutions has distinguished itself in the industry through both the quality of its service and an industry-leading safety record, which has led to rapid growth and solid customer relationships with many of the region’s largest utilities.

“Telectric Power brings top-quality people with specialized skills in substation maintenance and construction that will strengthen our position as one of the premier power line services companies in the United States,” said Chad Dubea, CEO of T&D Solutions.

The acquisition will be used, in part, to increase the company’s capacity for delivering transmission, substation and distribution construction and maintenance services to a broader range of customers with ever expanding needs.
