Utility safety: Siemens line of Scalance XB-200 Industrial Ethernet switches provide FastEthernet data rates up to 100 Mbps and support the Ethernet/IP standard.

• Up to 100 Mbps of FastEthernet Data Rates
• Cost Effective, Real-Time Communication
• Supports Ethernet/IP Standard

The family of four, cost-effective switches delivers real-time communication in a variety of automation environments. The compact, plug and play switches support Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) and are also certified for use in hazardous areas (IECEx/ATEX Zone 2/UL HazLoc).

Multicast blocking, loop detection and access control via radius server enhance system performance. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) functions monitor large networks when used with Sinema Server and other tools.

The four device versions are available in space saving, plastic housings in 40 mm, 80 mm or 120 widths. Up to 16 electrical and three optical connections (SC, ST/BFOC, and SC LD) give the switches high flexibility in choosing the right switch for each application and can even cover distances up to 26 km in single mode. A new slide on the housing simplifies unlocking and allows easy manual installation of switches on the DIN rail.

A redundant power supply with two, three-pin connectors ensures uninterrupted network communication, even during a power failure. The console port connects to a terminal for configuration, diagnostics and network management using a Command Line Interface (CLI). The settings can also be made with an integrated web interface.
