Texas awards Pelco structural sole supplier status
Pelco Structural has been awarded a statewide term contract by the state of Texas as a supplier of traffic signal poles and mast arms.
Claremore, Okla.—Pelco Structural LLC, which manufactures made-to-order pole assemblies for the traffic control, lighting, utility and communications industries, is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a statewide term contract by the state of Texas as a supplier of traffic signal poles and mast arms. Pelco’s products will be available to all state agencies and over 1900 cooperative members in the state of Texas through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Online Ordering System—TxSmartBuy.
This three-year contract enables Texas city and county purchasers to search for and order goods and services online at a fixed price. “This is a huge opportunity for Pelco,” commented Phil Albert, president of Pelco Structural. “Cities, towns, and counties will enjoy significant savings on their traffic signal poles using this program, because the state was able to negotiate much better prices due to the volume. Through the TxSmartBuy program, we can offer smaller entities the same excellent pricing.”
Pelco will ship all products ordered through the TxSmartBuy within 60 days of order, and, as with all Pelco orders, any of the 47+ traffic signal combinations will be customized to buyer’s specifications. Pelco officials expect the first year of its contract with the TxSmartBuy program to generate more than $1 million in orders from officials, including city managers, engineers, and public works directors.
