The Power Gripz line of leather protector gloves feature a unique, patent-pending grip pad innovation that highly increases the tactile gripping properties for a newer and safer generation of protector gloves not previously found on any gloves on the market.
The Power Gripz glove design was envisioned by a team of linemen who were searching for a glove that would reduce the hazards and frustrations they faced while wearing slick and sometimes oily leather protector gloves.
Having a glove that could grip nuts, bolts, tools and other small objects without the fear of dropping them had been a desire shared by linemen everywhere. After researching, testing and perfecting various designs, the perfect solution for personal safety, efficiency and effectiveness on the job was created - The Power Gripz Leather Protector Glove.
The Power Gripz have been tested and proven to offer superior grip, arc protection, heat protection and all-weather dexterity. The Power Gripz has also achieved the highest ATPV rating in the industry: 40cal/CM2 with 94% heat protection blockage in EBT testing. The Power Gripz also meets and/or exceeds all ASTM F-696 standards for leather protector glove designs.
The Power Gripz, co-founded by lineman Aaron Pearson and business entrepreneur, Jeff Palese, started providing gloves to linemen at Rodeo events in 2012. As news of the enhanced gripping properties of the gloves spread, requests for more Power Gripz gloves began to grow.
"We found the early field trials to be an incredible resource for valuable feedback from working linemen with regards to fit, adjustment straps and dexterity" states Jeff Palese, The Power Gripz president. "We listened intently and continually worked on perfecting the gloves to a point where we could proudly say that we now offer a line of leather protector gloves that are truly designed by linemen for linemen."
With an increasing number of linemen putting The Power Gripz to the test in harsh conditions in the field, The Power Gripz has expanded operations in order to meet the growing number of incoming orders from power companies and its nationwide and global network of distributors.
"Now that we have been tested and accepted by major power companies" adds CEO Aaron Pearson, who is also still a working lineman, "it¹s gratifying to see what started as our search for a solution to a common problem identified by veteran linemen is now a reality that we can share with fellow linemen everywhere."
The Power Gripz, headquartered in Avon, Ohio, is an American company dedicated to introducing innovation and sensible design to work gloves for the utility, industrial and commercial markets.
