Communication systems for utility operations

Sonetics and BearCom announce agreement to provide wireless team communication solutions throughout North America.

Dallas and Portland, Ore.—BearCom and Sonetics Corp. have announced that they have signed an agreement for BearCom to sell and support Sonetics’ complete line of wireless team communication systems for utility, construction, industrial, marine, and other high-noise environments.

Sonetics’ solutions deliver clear communications among crew members, even under the most rugged and challenging conditions. All Sonetics’ systems support hands-free, full-duplex communications up to a 1,600-foot range while also monitoring up to two radio channels and providing push-to-talk radio transmission from the users’ wireless headsets. The headsets provide 26dB of hearing protection and are completely wire-free, with no external antennas, belt packs, or wires to snag or entangle users. Sonetics supports its products with a two-year standard warranty and up to five years of ComCare comprehensive customer service programs.

“BearCom has an outstanding reputation in providing the highest-quality wireless communication equipment through their 26 branch offices across the nation,” said Sonetics’ Chief Operating Officer, Reed Stager. “BearCom customers will now have immediate access to Sonetics’ full range of team communication solutions that integrate with their existing radios while providing hands-free, full-duplex communication with enhanced efficiency and safety.”

“We and our customers have been impressed with Sonetics’ innovative, hands-free solutions for increasing team effectiveness and safety,” BearCom President and CEO, Jerry Denham, said. “Sonetics’ solutions create an integrated radio-compatible, full-duplex audio network on a work site, bringing an entirely new level of capability to our customers. Adding Sonetics’ product line to our portfolio will be a great move for both of our companies and, more importantly, for our customers. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship.”
