Test equipment: Cable certification software
Network testing: IDEAL Networks releases latest generation of DataCENTER Software for LanTEK and FiberTEK FDX cable certifiers. Free software allows datacom professionals to download, manage, edit and print pdf reports in three easy steps.
Cable test equipment: IDEAL Networks, a provider of network testing, installation and management solutions, released an update to its IDEAL DataCENTER (IDC) software that allows data cable professionals using IDEAL LanTEK® II and FiberTEK® FDX cable certifiers to more easily manage their test data and to generate certification reports in three simple steps.
IDEAL IDC software improves on the sometimes-cumbersome task of importing and organizing test data by using a streamlined workflow and simplified user interface. Familiar ribbon toolbars, similar to Microsoft® Office products, organize functions into logical groups, easing the process of generating certification reports. Professional reports are generated in 3 simple steps: 1. enter the job details, 2. select the logo, and 3. select the tests.
With capacity for more than 10,000 tests per job, IDC supports projects of any size - from residential systems to enterprise-class networks. Creating PDF reports is a simple two-click process and a complete project is contained in one file, further simplifying submittal of projects to clients and cabling manufacturers. In addition, IDC works with most third-party cloud data services such as Dropbox and Google Drive.

The IDEAL Networks Division is a worldwide leader in data communications solutions. IDEAL Networks develops and manufactures network testers, network installation and management equipment for Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and access telecom infrastructures worldwide.
IDEAL Networks was formed in 2010 when Wavetek and Trend Communications, previously acquired by IDEAL in 2001 and 2004 respectively, were merged with the IDEAL datacomm tools and connector divisions. The result was a new division focusing on all issues involving the installation and testing of local and wide area networks. By merging Trend's experience in the telecom sector, Wavetek's expertise in local network certification, and the years of experience that IDEAL has with datacomm tools and connectors, the IDEAL Networks Division is able to offer some of the most comprehensive networking solutions in the industry for everything from installation to testing and certification.
