Terminal blocks support unusual configurations

Phoenix Contact introduces terminal blocks for the utility industry.

Middletown, Pa., December 17, 2010—Phoenix Contact introduces two new series of terminal blocks for the electrical utility industry.

New NEMA-style ring lug terminals, available in either a 9 or 13 mm pitch, are designed to replace traditional barrier blocks. Unlike rigid barrier blocks, the RSC/RBO series of terminals support unique configurations in control and switchgear applications. Their smaller size translates to increased density within the control cabinet. They can be mounted either on the panel or on a DIN rail, further increasing design flexibility.

The ME series of IEC-style terminal blocks builds advanced functionality for current transformer (CT) test and measurement functions. They have a reliable knife disconnect for secure short-circuit switching. Locking plugs increase operator safety. Push-in bridges, test adapters and switching plugs save installation time.
