Safety products: NEMA publishes ANSI C136.21-2014 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment -- Vertical Tenons Used with Post Top-mounted Luminaires.
Utility safety: The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published ANSI C136.21-2014 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment -- Vertical Tenons Used with Post Top-mounted Luminaires. This standard covers the attachment features of vertical tenons on pole tops or brackets used in roadway and area lighting that permit the interchangeability of post-top-mounted luminaires.
ANSI C136.21 was developed by ANSI Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) 136, and is useful to roadway and area lighting manufacturers, municipalities, and utilities. Improvements from the previous edition include updated references and changed tenon length to reflect appropriate industry practice.
ANSI C136.21-2014 may be downloaded or purchased in hard copy for $38 on the NEMA website.
