Stored energy: Integrated standby power system
Energy management: C&D Technologies, a provider of complete, integrated standby power systems, has announced the release of the new Liberty DCS Product Line.
Utility supplies: C&D Technologies Inc. a producer and marketer of complete, integrated standby power systems, has announced the release of the new Liberty DCS Product Line. This new Liberty line is a 2 Volt series of valve regulated (VRLA) batteries for both float duty, and cycling duty service with capacities from 900 to 1834 ampere-hours. This latest product addition incorporates C&D’s cycle leading DCS technology with the newly released Nano-Carbon™ technology to enhance cycle performance and partial state of charge (PSoC) performance.
“The Liberty DCS adds a higher capacity product to the highly successful DCS product line, allowing customers to now deploy individual cells up to 1834 ampere-hours while reducing their string count for the cycling market utilizing our new, cycle enhancing Nano-Carbon™ technology”, stated Jon Anderson, Vice President, New Technology and Battery Design of C&D.
The modular, Liberty DCS system has unlimited configurations and the front terminal design with the patented C&D Ohmic Ring® provides for fast installation along with easy, accurate; ohmic and voltage measurements.
This product is built in the state-of-the-art facility in Reynosa, Mexico utilizing new high-speed production equipment. As expected, C&D utilizes its proprietary mixing, pasting and curing system, to enhance plate consistency and performance. It also incorporates the ultra-sensitive helium leak detection to assure top quality seals for long service life.
