Raleigh, N.C.—With the addition of a new form factor to support efficient replacement of legacy ANSI microprocessor protection relays, ABB has announced the completion of the ANSI Relion 650 series portfolio for generation and transmission protection. This Relion portfolio makes it easier for utility personnel to benefit from the widest range of products for power systems protection, control, measurement and supervision.
“ABB is committed to the North American market and this latest product release reinforces this ongoing commitment to our ANSI customers,” said Steven Kunsman, vice president and general manager for ABB’s Substation Automation Products business in North America. “The 3U form factor simplifies lifecycle management and provides utilities the opportunity for stepwise migration to advanced functionality and improved performance.”
The Relion family delivers maximum flexibility and performance for generation, transmission and distribution.
