PLH Group forms electric transmission, substation, distribution business
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Edison's focus is to expand its capabilities and market position in the Western U.S. electric power market
PLH Group Inc., a portfolio company of private equity firm Energy Capital Partners, has launched Edison Power Constructors Inc. to deliver infrastructure services in the areas of electric transmission, substation and distribution.
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Edison's focus is to expand its capabilities and market position in the Western U.S. electric power market.
Mike Stefanik has been named president of Edison to oversee all responsibilities for Edison's work in the electric power industry. With over 30 years in the electric power infrastructure industry, Stefanik began his career in 1978 as an apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and has a background in operations management, business development and labor relations. Before joining Edison, he was vice president of transmission and substations with Kiewit Power Constructors Co. and previously served in various positions for PAR Electrical Contractors, Inc. and InfraSource Transmission Services LLC.
PLH, a company started by Energy Capital Partners, has acquired and further developed Sun Electric, TESSCO, AIR 2, Auger Services, Snelson Companies, IPS Engineering, Southeast Directional Drilling, M&M Pipeline Services, Energy Services South, Pipeworx and Edison Power Constructors.
