Customers sought for transmission project between New York, Vermont

The project is a new 230-kV phase angle regulator controlled, 34-mile alternating current transmission line

Anbaric Transmission is seeking customers for the Grand Isle Intertie Project between Plattsburgh, New York and Essex, Vermont.

The transmission project is a new 230-kV phase angle regulator controlled, 34-mile alternating current transmission line capable of flowing 400 MW of electricity between upstate New York (from a substation in Plattsburgh) and Vermont (at a new Vermont Electric Power Co. substation to be located near Essex, Vermont).

The open solicitation is the first of its type issued by Anbaric Transmission. It is being conducted in accordance with new guidelines issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in a final policy statement issued on January 17, 2013.

The Grand Isle Intertie Project is being undertaken by GII Development LLC, a unit of Anbaric Holding. Anbaric Transmission is a developer of independent transmission projects that include the Neptune Regional Transmission System and the Hudson Transmission Project.
