DistribuTECH 2011 finishes week with record attendance
Along with a solid conference agenda featuring utility engineers and industry gurus, DistribuTECH has a large exhibit floor with 400 exhibitors
Tulsa, Okla., February 3, 2011 — DistribuTECH, the largest U.S. conference that covers the smart grid from end to end, finishes a week of industry conference sessions and business meetings at the San Diego Convention Center today with record-breaking registration numbers.
By early Thursday morning, DistribuTECH registration numbers had exceeded 8,300. Around 8,500 attendees are expected when the show's registration closes on Thursday afternoon.
Along with a solid conference agenda featuring utility engineers and industry gurus, DistribuTECH has a large exhibit floor with 400 exhibitors ranging from communications to cable, electricity distribution hardware to software, and meters to smart thermostats.
The news from the floor at DistribuTECH has been steady and informative: Silver Spring Networks, a provider of smart grid platforms, announced that the company is expanding its partnership with Oklahoma Gas and Electric, Oklahoma's largest electric utility. (Read this story here)

(UISOL), a provider of demand response management and automation systems, on a price response demand demonstration project for PJM Interconnection, operator of the largest power grid in North America. Exhibitor registration for DistribuTECH 2011 is closed, but attendees can still register onsite for the full conference or just to walk the extensive exhibit floor. Onsite registration hours for this final day are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center.
