ABB's Ventyx appoints Jeff Ray as CEO

Ray joins Ventyx from Dassault Systèmes, a $2.4 billion software firm, where he served as executive vice president of geographic operations and was a member of the firm's executive committee

San Francisco, June 13, 2012 — Ventyx, an ABB company, appointed Jeff Ray as CEO, reporting directly to Jens Birgersson, head of ABB's Network Management business unit. Ray brings to Ventyx more than 30 years of management experience in the global enterprise software industry.

Ray joins Ventyx from Dassault Systèmes, a $2.4 billion software firm, where he served as executive vice president of geographic operations and was a member of the firm's executive committee.

In this role, he successfully created a new model for the company's growth, which led to greater speed and agility across the business. Immediately prior, he served as CEO of SolidWorks, a global engineering software firm and division of Dassault Systèmes.

Ray began his career at IBM, where he held various sales and management positions for more than 17 years.
