DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, introduces its new line of heavy-duty commercial rack, storage and carrier solutions for professional contractors and tradesmen. The latest addition to the DEWALT line includes more than 60 aluminum boxes and an assortment of fully adjustable steel and aluminum racks for jobsite vehicles. Available in March 2009, DEWALT's new line of products will be licensed by Thule, a world leader in manufacturing durable and innovative vehicle carrying solutions that are backed by a lifetime warranty. The DEWALT truck boxes and racks will offer professional contractors and tradesmen increased durability, strength and security while transporting tools, equipment and materials to and from the jobsite.
The DEWALT industrial grade truck boxes are built using a one-piece base that increases the over-all strength of the box. This one-piece design helps to prevent structural collapse of the box over time. These boxes are designed with a patented, fully foamed lid that provides a solid insulated core for added strength and rigidity. For increased security, each box has an enclosed locking mechanism to prevent bending or jamming of the locking system. Additionally, the dual lift struts automatically opens the lid to a full 90 degrees providing users with easier access to tools and equipment.
DEWALT's industrial grade truck boxes have many additional features for increased strength and durability. Each box is made of thick .080" grade aluminum and includes over-sized push button locks for one-hand access and key lock protection. Additionally, DEWALT equipped the boxes with a ToughCoat™ tub and lid liner to reduce cargo damage, eliminate dust and increase box durability.
DEWALT truck boxes are available in many sizes and styles which can be mounted in different locations in the bed of the truck.
Industrial Grade Steel Truck Racks
The DEWALT heavy-duty industrial grade steel racks carry up to 1,800 pounds safely and securely through its exclusive heavy-duty SteelTruss™ load supports that connect the rail, cross and leg bars. Designed with two-inch square steel tubing, these racks are more robust, offering 20 percent more steel than traditional round tubing. For increased durability, the racks are equipped with double load bars that carry up to 40 percent more load than traditional single bars. A full length bed rail increases the bed wall's strength and capacity. The racks are secured by an innovative bracket support system which optimizes the stability of the rack.
For increased versatility, the rear load bar can swing open in any direction to allow taller/larger items to be loaded on the bed of the truck. To prevent corrosion and enhance their long-term durability, these racks have an AllSurface™ rust-resistant coating and a hardened high gloss finish.
Aluminum Van Racks
The DEWALT heavy-duty van racks features 6000 series aluminum which provides added strength to carry up to 750 pounds and resists corrosion for a lifetime of functionality. The durable tri-slot bar provides these three slots for added strength, rigidity and accessory attachment. This aerodynamic design also minimizes the wind noise.
These racks are built with stainless steel mounting hardware and long lasting 7 ½" powder coated zinc die cast feet providing maximum corrosion protection. For increased strength and lateral support, the van racks include four adjustable load stops that secure materials and a full length rubber insert that protects equipment from damage.
