New director of quality at Vanair

Michigan City, Ind.—Jon Rice has taken the position of Vanair’s Director of Quality. He brings extensive experience and education in management, quality management, supplier development, ISO, and lean manufacturing to the position.

Since 1972, Vanair has been the industry’s mobile power expert. Today, it is cited to be the world’s largest manufacturer of powerful, lightweight and compact vehicle-mounted air compressors, generators, welders, battery boosters and Air N Arc All–In-One Power Systems. Vanair continues to be the leader in product innovation and custom solutions serving a variety of industries worldwide.

Rice’s education includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from American Intercontinental University in Hoffmann Estates, Ill., a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., and a Certificate in Total Quality Management (TQM) from the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Rice is a certified ISO lead auditor and has completed the Management Development Program through the American Management Association.
