Interstate Power and Light Company's Sale of Transmission Assets Determined to be 'Not Detrimental' to Customers and Public Interest by Iowa Utilities Board

Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE:LNT) received today an oral decision from the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) regarding the sale of the company's transmission assets to ITC Midwest LLC (ITC Midwest), a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE:ITC) .

In its oral decision, the IUB closed the docket and determined that the sale of IPL's transmission assets to ITC Midwest was not detrimental to IPL's Iowa electric customers or to the public interest.

Truck Bodies & Equipment International (TBEI) introduced a Reel Lift body designed to safely and efficiently haul reels of electric wire or cable. The 14-foot long unit features two rectangular lift arms powered by twin hydraulic lift cylinders with 6,000-lb lifting capacity, as well as a hi-tensile steel floor and convenient storage capacity.
